Dalam arus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/current\/\">bolak-balik (AC)<\/a>, nilai peak-to-peak adalah dua kali nilai puncak atau 2,828 kali nilai root-mean-square (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/root-mean-square-RMS\/\">RMS<\/a>). Tegangan peak-to-peak biasanya dilambangkan dengan V<sub>PP<\/sub>.<\/p>\n<h3>Perbedaan antara peak-to-peak, peak, amplitude, dan RMS<\/h3>\n<p>Dalam daya listrik arus bolak-balik (AC), tegangan naik dan turun dalam bentuk gelombang sinus yang halus. Tegangan naik ke nilai maksimum positif, turun kembali ke nol, lalu ke nilai maksimum negatif, dan kembali ke nol untuk memulai siklus lagi. Karena tegangan berubah seiring waktu, ada berbagai cara untuk menyatakannya tergantung pada aspek yang ingin ditekankan.<\/p>\n<p>Tegangan puncak, ditunjukkan sebagai V<sub>P<\/sub>, adalah nilai tegangan tertinggi dibandingkan dengan nol volt. Amplitudo mirip dengan nilai puncak karena menunjukkan nilai tertinggi dari gelombang tersebut. Nilai puncak dan amplitudo lebih sering digunakan dalam analisis gelombang dan jarang digunakan dalam pekerjaan listrik AC.<\/p>\n<p>Tegangan peak-to-peak, ditunjukkan sebagai V<sub>PP<\/sub>, adalah selisih antara nilai tegangan tertinggi dan terendah dalam AC. Dalam aplikasi AC, nilai peak-to-peak selalu dua kali nilai puncak. Nilai peak-to-peak lebih sering digunakan dalam analisis gelombang atau desain amplifier, dan jarang digunakan dalam pekerjaan listrik AC.<\/p>\n<p>Tegangan root mean square (RMS), dilambangkan sebagai V<sub>RMS<\/sub>, adalah tegangan setara dengan arus searah (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/DC-direct-current\/\">DC<\/a>) untuk daya AC. Karena tegangan AC naik dan turun seiring waktu, ia tidak memberikan daya maksimum sepanjang waktu.
