Prinsip ini dinamai sesuai dengan ilmuwan Jerman, Georg Simon Ohm.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\/\">Dalam rangkaian arus searah (DC), Hukum Ohm cukup simpel dan linear. Misalnya, sebuah resistor dengan nilai <em>R<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/ohm\/\">ohm<\/a> dilalui oleh arus sebesar <em>I<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/ampere\/\">ampere<\/a>. Maka tegangan di resistor tersebut sama dengan hasil perkalian <em>I \u00d7 R<\/em>. Ada dua aturan turunannya. Jika sumber daya DC sebesar <em>E<\/em> volt dihubungkan dengan hambatan <em>R<\/em> ohm, maka arus yang mengalir adalah <em>E\/R<\/em> ampere. Selain itu, dalam rangkaian DC, jika ada tegangan <em>E<\/em> volt pada suatu komponen dengan arus <em>I<\/em> ampere, maka hambatan komponen tersebut adalah <em>E\/I<\/em> ohm.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\/\">Secara matematis, Hukum Ohm untuk rangkaian DC bisa ditulis dalam tiga persamaan berikut:<\/p>\n<p><em>E = I \u00d7 R<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I = E \/ R<\/em><br \/>\n<em>R = E \/ I<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\/\">Saat melakukan perhitungan, pastikan unit yang digunakan sudah sesuai. Jika unit yang digunakan bukan ohm (untuk hambatan), ampere (untuk arus), atau volt (untuk tegangan), maka perlu dilakukan konversi unit terlebih dahulu.
