Osilator digunakan dalam berbagai perangkat seperti komputer, jam, radio, dan detektor logam.<\/p>\n<p>Pendulum pada jam adalah contoh sederhana dari osilator mekanis. Sementara itu, jam paling akurat di dunia, yaitu <strong>jam atom<\/strong>, menjaga waktu berdasarkan osilasi yang terjadi di dalam <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/atom\/\">atom<\/a>. Dalam dunia elektronik, osilator digunakan untuk menghasilkan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/signal\/\">sinyal<\/a> pada komputer, perangkat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/wireless\/\">nirkabel<\/a> (receiver dan transmitter), serta perangkat audio seperti synthesizer musik.<\/p>\n<p>Ada banyak jenis osilator elektronik, tetapi semuanya bekerja dengan prinsip dasar yang sama: osilator selalu menggunakan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/amplifier\/\">amplifier<\/a> sensitif yang output-nya dikembalikan ke input dengan fase yang sama.
