Paket <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/packet\/\">control<\/a> ini biasanya berasal dari atau ditujukan ke <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/router\/\">router<\/a>. Istilah &#8220;plane&#8221; sendiri mulai digunakan sejak tahun 1980-an untuk memisahkan secara logis fungsi-fungsi di arsitektur jaringan seperti Integrated Services Digital Network.<\/p>\n<p>Control plane menjalankan beberapa fungsi penting berikut:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default-list\/\">\n<li>membuat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/routing-table\/\">tabel routing<\/a><\/li>\n<li>mengatur lalu lintas jaringan<\/li>\n<li>menjaga <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/network-topology\/\">topologi jaringan<\/a><\/li>\n<li>menyediakan fitur keamanan dan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/load-balancing\/\">load balancing<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Jenis-Jenis Plane dalam Jaringan<\/h2>\n<p>Baik pada jaringan konvensional maupun berbasis cloud, arsitektur jaringan biasanya terdiri dari tiga jenis plane berikut:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"default-list\/\">\n<li><strong>Control plane<\/strong> menentukan bagaimana data seharusnya dikirim lewat jalur tertentu dengan bantuan routing protocol.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Data plane<\/strong> mengatur bagaimana paket dikirim dari satu antarmuka ke antarmuka lainnya.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Management plane<\/strong> berperan untuk kontrol dan monitoring perangkat jaringan.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Control plane dan management plane bekerja melayani data plane, yang bertugas membawa lalu lintas utama dari jaringan. Management plane sendiri, yang menangani trafik administratif, bisa dibilang bagian dari control plane juga.<\/p>\n<h2>Control Plane dalam Jaringan<\/h2>\n<p>Dalam jaringan tradisional, semua plane (control, data, dan management) biasanya berjalan di dalam <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/firmware\/\">firmware<\/a> milik <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/router\/\">router<\/a> atau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/switch\/\">switch<\/a>. Tapi di arsitektur <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/software-defined-networking-SDN\/\">Software-defined networking (SDN)<\/a>, data plane dan control plane dipisah. Control plane dipindahkan dari perangkat keras ke perangkat lunak.<\/p>\n<p>Dengan begitu, admin jaringan bisa mengatur lalu lintas dari satu konsol terpusat tanpa harus menyentuh perangkat fisik satu per satu. Ia nggak menentukan rute atau strategi pengiriman \u2014 itu tugasnya control plane.<\/p>\n<p>Untuk lebih gampang dibayangin, coba pikirkan perempatan jalan di kota.
