DMVPN memudahkan organisasi membangun jaringan VPN dengan banyak cabang tanpa perlu konfigurasi perangkat secara <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/dynamic-and-static\/\">statis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Pada umumnya, VPN menghubungkan setiap situs ke kantor pusat. Sementara DMVPN membentuk topologi VPN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/mesh-network-topology-mesh-network\/\">mesh<\/a>, dengan model &#8220;hub and spoke.&#8221; Artinya, tiap router di cabang (spoke) terkoneksi ke perangkat hub VPN pusat, tapi juga bisa langsung berkomunikasi dengan spoke lain tanpa harus melewati hub terlebih dulu.<\/p>\n<h2>Bagaimana Cara Kerja DMVPN?<\/h2>\n<p>DMVPN memungkinkan cabang-cabang untuk saling terhubung menggunakan jaringan publik seperti <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/WAN-wide-area-network\/\">WAN<\/a> atau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/Internet\/\">internet<\/a>. DMVPN dijalankan lewat router VPN dan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/firewall\/\">firewall concentrator<\/a>. Masing-masing cabang memiliki router yang dikonfigurasi untuk terkoneksi ke hub VPN pusat.<\/p>\n<p>Misalnya dua spoke ingin melakukan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/VoIP\/\">panggilan VoIP<\/a>, maka salah satu spoke akan meminta informasi dari hub mengenai spoke lain, lalu membuat tunnel IPsec dinamis di antara keduanya. Tunnel ini tidak permanen, dan komunikasi tetap bisa diamankan menggunakan kontrol akses granular dan perlindungan VPN.<\/p>\n<p>DMVPN juga mendukung <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/encryption\/\">enkripsi<\/a> lewat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/IPsec-Internet-Protocol-Security\/\">IPsec<\/a>, menjadikannya solusi populer untuk koneksi antar cabang melalui internet.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"main-article-image full-col\" data-img-fullsize=\"https:\/\/www.techtarget.com\/rms\/onlineImages\/networking_dmpvn.jpg\/\">\n <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.techtarget.com\/rms\/onlineImages\/networking_dmpvn_mobile.jpg\" class=\"lazy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.techtarget.com\/rms\/onlineImages\/networking_dmpvn_mobile.jpg 960w,https:\/\/www.techtarget.com\/rms\/onlineImages\/networking_dmpvn.jpg 1280w\" alt=\"DMVPN at a glance\" height=\"520\" width=\"520\/\"><figcaption><i class=\"icon pictures\" data-icon=\"z\/\"><\/i>Cara kerja DMVPN secara umum.<\/figcaption><div class=\"main-article-image-enlarge\/\"><i class=\"icon\" data-icon=\"w\/\"><\/i><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h2>Komponen-Komponen Utama DMVPN<\/h2>\n<h3>Multipoint GRE Tunnel Interfaces<\/h3>\n<p>Untuk jaringan perusahaan dengan banyak cabang, penggunaan banyak tunnel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/Generic-Routing-Encapsulation-GRE\/\">GRE<\/a> bisa jadi rumit. Dengan DMVPN dan multipoint GRE (mGRE), satu interface GRE bisa digunakan untuk koneksi ke banyak tujuan sekaligus, cukup satu tunnel per router.<\/p>\n<p>Namun, jika dua router cabang perlu berkomunikasi, GRE saja nggak tahu IP mana yang digunakan. Di sinilah protokol <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/Next-Hop-Resolution-Protocol\/\">NHRP<\/a> berperan.<\/p>\n<h3>NHRP<\/h3>\n<p>NHRP memungkinkan spoke mendaftarkan IP publiknya ke hub. Modelnya seperti <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/client-server\/\">server-client<\/a>, di mana hub bertindak sebagai server dan semua spoke sebagai client. Setiap client melaporkan IP publiknya, lalu server menyimpannya di <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/caching\/\">cache<\/a> untuk kebutuhan resolusi koneksi.<\/p>\n<h3>IPsec Tunnel Endpoint Discovery (TED)<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flylib.com\/books\/en\/2.45.1.83\/1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\/\">TED<\/a> memungkinkan endpoint saling menemukan tanpa harus konfigurasi manual (crypto map). Ini sangat membantu agar router bisa otomatis membuat tunnel IPsec ke router lain meski belum tahu sebelumnya.<\/p>\n<h3>Routing Protocol<\/h3>\n<p>Protokol routing sangat penting untuk menemukan jalur terbaik antar endpoint di DMVPN. Untuk skala kecil, protokol <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/OSPF-Open-Shortest-Path-First\/\">OSPF<\/a> sudah cukup. Jadi, komunikasi antar spoke belum bisa langsung. Routing masih sederhana karena cukup satu default route ke hub.<\/p>\n<h3>Phase 2<\/h3>\n<p>Spoke bisa langsung berkomunikasi satu sama lain melalui tunnel on-demand. Hub hanya dipakai di <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/control-plane-CP\/\">control plane<\/a>, bukan lagi di <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/data-plane-DP\/\">data plane<\/a>. Ini mengurangi beban pada hub.<\/p>\n<h3>Phase 3<\/h3>\n<p>Tunnel antar spoke dibuat tanpa rute khusus yang dikonfigurasi manual. NHRP digunakan untuk mengirim pesan <em>redirect<\/em> dan <em>shortcut<\/em> dari hub agar spoke bisa membangun rute dinamis.<\/p>\n<h2>Keuntungan DMVPN<\/h2>\n<h3>Konfigurasi router lebih sederhana<\/h3>\n<p>DMVPN hanya butuh satu konfigurasi hub untuk menghubungkan banyak spoke. Topologi lebih scalable dan cocok untuk kantor kecil, menengah, hingga besar.<\/p>\n<h3>Dukungan IP publik dinamis<\/h3>\n<p>Dengan bantuan NHRP, spoke bisa beroperasi dengan IP publik dinamis dan tetap bisa membentuk tunnel ke spoke lainnya.<\/p>\n<h3>Biaya administrasi lebih rendah<\/h3>\n<p>DMVPN mengurangi kebutuhan konfigurasi berulang, terutama di sisi hub.
