Sebaliknya, arus listrik juga bisa muncul ketika <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/conductor\/\"><strong>konduktor listrik<\/strong><\/a> digerakkan melewati medan magnet yang diam. <strong>Interferensi elektromagnetik<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxid.net\/istilah\/electromagnetic-interference\/\"><strong>EMI<\/strong><\/a>) kadang juga disebut sebagai induksi magnetik, karena prinsipnya tetap sama, baik menggunakan elektromagnet maupun magnet statis.<\/p>\n<p>Induksi elektromagnetik pertama kali ditemukan oleh Michael Faraday pada tahun 1831 dan, secara independen namun hampir bersamaan, oleh Joseph Henry pada tahun 1832. Faraday melakukan percobaan dengan melilitkan kawat tembaga di sekitar inti besi berbentuk toroid, menggunakan galvanometer (alat untuk mendeteksi arus listrik), dan sebuah magnet.
